In winter mostly people suffer with the problem of cracked heels, by following some home remedies you may get rid from this winter problem. These remedies are economical and easy to use. Cracked heels showed your mode of attention what you are giving to your heels, in changing season and especially in winter.

Medically cracked heals are known as fissures these are little cuts on the most used part of the body. They often found on the feet pads and the toe area, it’s not necessary that they only hurt the human feet they may found all over your body. Cracked heels are usually due to the excessive dryness but they can be pop up on your body due to the over exposure to the moisturizer.

Why heels got cracked?

  •     Naturally dry or thick skin around the heels, more likely to crack due to excessive feet activity in winter.
  •     Prolonged standings, hard shoe soles, hard floors may also cause cracks in the feet.
  •     Your weight may increase the pressure on your pad under the heel, because it to expand sideways and in winter the skin lacks flexibility the pressure on the feet lead toward cracked heels.
  •     Inappropriate shoe selection cause your feet to expand sideways and the constant use of such kind of shoes leads you toward the cracked heels. Make wise choices in shoe selection especially in winter.
  •     Your exposure to water, especially tab running water, can rob the natural oil of your skin and this can leave the skin dry and bumpy and cause cracks in your heels.
  •     Don’t stand for long hours in moist areas like bathrooms and kitchen wetness also cause crakes in your heels.
  •     Aging causes cracked heels, if you are over 30 you may often fall into the problem of cracked heels, as aging reduce the natural oil from your skin.

Home remedies for cracked heels

  •     Apply olive oil after washing your feet wear your soft pair of socks leave over night; gradually the results will be fabulous.
  •   Banana is good for dry skin apply the paste of a ripe banana on the cracked area of your heel, leave it on your heels for 30 minutes and rinse, do it daily to gain soft and supple heels. To make it more luxurious you can also add avocado, coconut, almond in a blender along with the banana to form a thick and creamy paste. Apply this paste it is rich with lots of essential oils and vitamins what nourish your skin deeply leaving it silky soft
  •     Soak your feet in a liquid of lemon juice and glycerin for 15minutes. Repeat it weekly till the change is prominent. Follow this therapy on a weekly basis until one finds a change. Lemon juice is a mild acid and helps in exfoliating the dead and dry skin.  It is best to scrub your feet after soaking your feet in glycerin and lemon juice solution to attain best results.
  •    Daily application of a mixture of glycerin and rosewater before going to bed and stepping out is      known to soothe and cure cracked heels.
  •     For daily foot care regime, after coming work soak your feet in warm soapy water for 15min, pat dry and apply any hydro moisturizer and wear a pair of woolen socks. It will prevent you from cracked heels in winter.
