Best and Worst Dressed from the Elle Beauty Awards

Best and Worst Dressed from the Elle Beauty Awards

The Elle Beauty Awards were held last night and B-town divas graced the red carpet. Right from seasoned red carpet fasbionistas like Malaika Arora to newbies like Athiya Shetty, Nidhhi Agerwal, all were snapped at the event. Where there is an award show there is always the fashion police. While none of the red carpet dresses swept us off our feets, there were a few which managed to make it to the best-dressed category. However, many B-town hotties disappointed us with their styling this time. While Malaika was seen sporting a bold and creative dress and was a vision in white, other celebs like Athiya Shetty and Niddhi Agerwal disappointed us as they stuck to the basics for the red carpet. We really wish the actresses had experimented with their attires for the award show. Check out the best-dressed celebs at the Elle beauty Awards 2017:

Malaika Arora is a vision in white

Malaika Arora

Malaika is truly a diva and what we love the most about her styling is how she is never afraid to experiment. One doesn’t simply make to the best-dressed celebs list without shaking things up. The actress grabbed attention as she arrived on the red carpet wearing a white gown by Gaurav Gupta. This design seems to be Gaurav’s signature look and is a common element in many of his gowns. The one-shoulder dress with a sheer back elevated the look further. One can simply not ignore the clutch Malaika is seen carrying which could easily be confused for a plate.

Tamannaah Bhatia rocks the monochrome look

While the South beauty decided to play it safe for the award show, she still managed to make us look twice as she opted for a chequered black-and-white mini dress. Tamannaah elevated the attire with a pair of black strappy heels, which went perfectly with her dress. This dress by Karn Malhotra steals the show at the red carpet.

Diana Penty opts for a similar attire as Malaika Arora

Another Gaurav Gupta creation makes it to the best-dressed list at the Elle Beauty Awards. While Diana’s attire was subtle, compared to Malaika’s, she opted for a solid color instead. The clutch by Flura did not seem to go with the attire but other than that Diana gets a thumbs up from the fashion police.

Saiyami Kher believes simplicity is the key

One can barely go wrong with a black dress. The actress was seen wearing a strappy number for the red carpet and we are totally digging the look. The sheet dress with embroidery all over will make you want to have something similar in your wardrobe. The actress let her dress do all the talking and opted for a minimal make-up look and left her wavy tresses loose.

Athiya Shetty’s sheer mess

Athiya Shetty

Athiya rarely disappoints the fashion police and her unique sense of styling is something we have been digging for a long time now. At the recent award show, however, we were taken aback by the actress’ attire and it’s very unlikely of Athiya to wear something like this. This attire by Prabal Gurung fails to appeal to us and the cakey makeup, too, was a put-off.

Red carpet or salsa class?

Richa Chadda Hot

Richa Chadda looks like she is headed out for a salsa practice, not an award show. Don’t you agree? The actress was seen wearing a mini fringed dress by Nandita Mahtani which doesn’t seem to fit the occasion but could have worked wonders for another occasion. Richa manages to pull off the bob cut well and it’s something you will want to see again.

Niddhi Agerwal’s sequined attire gets a thumbs down from the fashion police

Honestly, we are fed up of seeing Niddhi opt for high waisted pants with a bralette for occasions. The actress needs to shift away from this and maybe hire a new stylist soon. This floral patchy attire by Shubhika is a total disaster. We wish the actress had opted for a gown instead.
