Makeup depends a lot on our complexion, skin type and face structure, but there are few makeup products which suit everyone regardless of all these factors. Today, I’ll just go through 8 of those products, which need to be owned by all self-proclaimed makeup addicts out there!

1. Purple Eye Shadow:
Red suits the dusky ladies and blue is for the fair-skinned girls, so a mix of those two – purple – will surely suit everyone. While many would agree it’s great for night outs, but it’s perfect for daywear too. Just vary the shade from a pastel purple to a deep purple. Go for the richer looking shades.
2. Peach Blush:
Peach-shaded blush will suit all skin tonnes, being a hybrid between the pink and the plum shades. Fair-skinned people can apply it directly on the apples of their cheekbones to give the flushed look while dark-skinned women can brush it up on the cheekbones so it acts more like a highlighter.
3. Blue Eyeliner Pencil:
Blue eyeliner has the ability to make eyes look bigger, regardless of your skin tone. While black dulls out the eyes, the blue will automatically bring out the whites in the eyes and make them look bigger. Pick a shade of bright turquoise for the wild night and a deep navy for the day out. The pencil will last longer and gives true colour.

4. Gold/Bronze Eyeshadow:
Gold is THE metallic shade that suits everyone. Bronze does too, but it gives a duller effect which is more suited for day wear. Make sure that your gold eyeshadow has a pearlescent finish since matte will give a chalky effect, especially on darker skin tones. You can do heavy application for parties while just a subtle highlight for the glowing day look.
5. Red Lipstick:
Red lipstick always reminds me of the old world glamour with a dash of sexiness, but you must stick to the true red shade, otherwise the lipstick would no longer suit every one.
With winters arriving, a little bronzer on the face will go a long way! Bronzers are chosen generally a shade or two darker than the skin tone. Buy ones with a touch of shimmer in them and they will work for all skin tones.

For fair-skinned women, it should be gently brushed everywhere the sun would naturally hit – temples, cheeks and chin. For dark-skinned women, they again use it as a highlighter, applying it on the top of the apples of their cheekbones and curving it out.
7. Sheer Lip Gloss:
You can’t go wrong with a sheer lip gloss. Some people like to buy it a little tinted, such as in light pink or rosy shades. It looks like your natural lip colour even if it’s not and the shine brightens up the face instantly.
8. Eye shadow Palette of Warm Shades:
Brown eyeshadow is the basic eye makeup. These shades complement each and every skin tone, defining and emphasizing the eyes. Women with dark skin can use the lighter shades as a highlighter under the brow and the darker shades as everyday eye shadows. Those with fair skin can create soft or smokey looks. A good palette would have a range of shades from espresso to taupe.
