Julie Kandalec, creative director of Paintbox Nail Salon, shows you exactly how to master this neon rainbow mani using Sally Hansen polish.1. Prep and Paint. File your nails into the desired shape, push back your cuticles — DO NOT CUT THEM! — and apply a basecoat, like Sally Hansen Double Duty Base & Top Coat. Then, swipe on a white base color using two coats of Sally Hansen Hard as Nails Xtreme Wear Nail Color in “White On.” Choosing white as your base color will really make the neon shades pop even more.2. Create your First Thin French Tip on Your Pinky Nail. Using the striper brush from the Sally Hansen I Heart Nail Art Tool Kit, paint a very thin line of bright pink polish along the tip of your pinky nail. Model Charlotte used Sally Hansen Insta-Dri in “Fuchsia Flare.3. Paint a Thin Stripe of Yellow Along the Tip of your Ring Finger. Clean off your striper brush with polish remover, dip it into a vibrant opaque yellow shade, like Sally Hansen Hard as Nails Xtreme Wear Nail Color in “Mellow Yellow,” and then sweep a thin stripe along the tip of your ring fingernail.4. Continue Painting Different Colored Stripes on the Tips of the Last Three Remaining Nails. Paint your middle finger with a cobalt blue, like Sally Hansen I Heart Nail Art Striper Polish in “Blue.” Next, use a bright purple on your pointer fingernail, like Sally Hansen I Heart Nail Art Neon in “Vibrant Violet.” Then, paint the last nail with a bright red, like Sally Hansen Insta-Dri Nail Color in “Sonic Bloom.”5. Add Two More Stripes to Your Nails. Skipping the ring finger, use the color that matches the French tips of each nail to draw two more thin lines across each nail.
