Lately, Sonakshi Sinha can do no wrong. Her decision to go peroxide blonde has met with worldwide approval. We say worldwide because she debuted sun-kissed hair at IIFA in New York. Between casually inspiring the bridesmaids of the country and thoroughly enjoying the fittest phase of her life, you’d think that the actress has her slaying chart full. Well, a recent (rather sexy) appearance is proof that Sona is determined to surprise.

The actress took to the ramp for Falguni and Shane Peacock. Designer Falguni and Shane are particularly known for their high-octane glamour, so form-fitting sinuous gowns did account for the standard offering. For Sonakshi’s showstopping duties, their plan wasn’t any different.

In what that can only be described as the mother of all sheer gowns, Sonakshi committed to the extreme glamour that the designers were trying to sell. The naked gown, if we may call it that, was the realisation of many sheer dreams (inspired by the Kardashians of the world), packaged in body-framing embroidery and a generous sprinkle of 20s fringes, albeit only below-the-knee.

The back of the gown dipped lower than the actress’s early sanskaari (more commonly known as the Dabangg phase) days would allow. In lieu of which, the designers craftily snuck in a nude slip with a resolve stronger than Shatrugan Sinha’s catchphrase, “Khamosh”. The sleeves, though, were fully sheer. All in all, nothing NSFW here.

To go with this glamour fest, Sona sported Kim K sleek hair, the same hair that Aishwarya Rai Bachchan used to low-key upstage the relatively newer lot of L’Oréal ambassadors. The collective theme of the make-up was “major” – everything from the blue smokey eyes to the sharp contour to the heavenly highlight was of the said aesthetic.
