Pearl Academy, India’s premier institute for design, fashion and related business courses, with its strong commitment to excellence, innovation and employability now has a center in one of India’s most creative cities- Mumbai. At a recent press conference hosted at Bunglow 9, Mr. SharadMehra, CEO, Pearl Academy, along with Sussanne Roshan, Interior Designer & founder ‘The Charcoal Project’, announced the launch of new campus which will absorb talented students in six Under-Graduate and six Post-Graduate programmes across domains.Pearl Academy Launches New CampusThe campus is centrally located in Andheri East, next to Marol metro station and will boast of a unique architecture and thoughtfully designed spaces for creative learning. The admissions have already begun for 2014 session and classes will begin from August, 2014, onwards Additionally, in an endeavor to explore fresh talent and hone creativity, the institute has collaborated with ‘The Charcoal Project’ to give away.

‘The Charcoal Project National Scholarship’ to highly motivated students looking for an opportunity in creative careers ‘The Charcoal Project National Scholarship’ will provide an opportunity to 3 deserving students (applicants as well as non-applicants to All-India entrance examination of the Academy) who want to study design at Pearl Academy These students, who would be shortlisted after a series of screening tests, will receive a scholarship with all-paid tuition fees for their academic years at Pearl.

These scholarships would be offered one each in Pearl’s campuses at Mumbai, Noida and Jaipur. Also, 3 runner-ups on joining Pearl Academy will receive a fully paid trip to ‘Artfest’ at Santa Fe College of Art & Design in Santa Fe, USA – a 3 weeks long festival where artists, designers and students from more than 40 countries participate Speaking about the launch of new campus, Mr. SharadMehra, CEO, Pearl Academy, said, “We are very excited to introduce our institute to a city which is home to some of the most creative minds in the country.

Students wanting to apply for the scholarships need to send in a portfolio along with a write-up/presentation/short video/art work/installation etc. on the chosen theme. A jury consisting experts from Pearl Academy and Sussanne Roshan will review the entries and meet the shortlisted candidates for final selection. The finalized winners will be awarded ‘The Charcoal Project National Scholarship’ at Pearl Academy.
