Buntings:

When it comes to Diwali the first thing people see when they come to visit you is your house and your house has to make an impression and welcome people and give them the feeling that Diwali has arrived.

These are usually banners with mirrors and bright and loud colors that are hung across doors and ceilings to make the place look elegant and give a happy vibe to the house. These can be made at home easily but sticking mirrors on card boards and then stringed together with a thread.

Rangoli:

These are gorgeously carved, almost like mehndi platters with either gota or mirrors and kept together to light little oil lamps on it this event. These are platters used by young girls to enter into a room that light up the room and also add to the whole decoration aura of the place.

Candles:

Candles are the main thing when it comes to Diwali; as it is the function of lights. These can be made however you want them to be made; either in height or like the little oil lamps. A lot of bling and color can be added to these candles that can be made to light up any room that are placed in. Or they can be made out of cinnamon sticks which make the candles look classy and elegant.

These can be spotlights or fairy lights. These can be bought off any store or made at home. Some spotlights are just placed and turned on but some are placed inside little cardboard cut outs which make each like glow through the colors. This makes the place light up and looks classy at the same time. Fairy lights and rose buds lights can be made very easily and be used every year on Diwali.

Lanterns:

Old jars can be turned into lanterns to make you centerpiece or paper lanterns can be made. Some can be kept on tables and other can be used alongside buntings. Where the mirrors work in the daytime, paper lanterns light up the streets at night.

Similarly bowls can be made with loud colors to add to the centerpieces on your tables and to serve your guests the little treats you have in store. All said and done you can make this Diwali loud and colorful for yourself, your family and your friends.
