Ranbir was born in Mumbai on 28th September, 1982.  He has a sister as his sibling named Riddhima Kapoor. Ranbir Kapoordid his high school from Bombay Scottish, studied film making at The School of Visual Arts and acting at The Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute, in New York. These institutions helped him a lot in developing such skills which were necessary for his acting career to flourish.

Initially he assisted Sanjay Leela Bhansali in the making of Black, who soon debuted him along with co-star Sonam Kapoor in the ‘not so hit’ Saawariya. His failures have never broken him and since then lover boy Ranbir has been a part of some major productions such as:

  • Saawariya (2007)
  • Bachna Ae Haseeno (2008)
  • Rocket Singh (2009)
  • Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani (2009)
  • Wake Up Sid (2009)
  • Anjaana Anjaani (2010)
  • Raajneeti (2010)

Apart from Ranbir’s film career he too has a personal life like any other individual and it includes the presence of various interest, likes or dislikes. Being an actor himself Ranbir doe have certain role models of his own. His favorite actor happens to be daddy Rishi Kapoor and Akshay Khanna. While his favorite actress is none other than ravishing, Kajol.

Bollywood sweetheart Ranbir is a ‘book worm’ to some extent. ‘Songs My Mother Taught Me’ by Marlon Brando and ‘The Kite Runner’ by Khaled Husseini are among his favorites.

Ranbir simply loves Italian and Chinese cuisine. But he also believes that there is no cook like his mom Neetu. As any other guy Ranbir loves soccer, cricket and is a passionate chess player.
