Contrary to the claims made by the makers and the cast, the show has nothing new to offer Ekta Kapoor is out with her new telly series, Kuch Toh Hai Tere Mere Darmiyaan which stars Shritama Mukherjee, Vibhav Roy and Gautam Gupta in the lead roles.
The show which airs on Star Plus, premiered yesterday. I caught the first episode and here’s what I think of it… The show is set in Jamshedpur and revolves around three central characters – Koyal (Shritama), Raj (Vibhav) and Madhavan (Gautam Gupta). All three come from different cultural backgrounds- Bengali, Punjabi and South Indian respectively- and are very different from each other, the only common thing being their friendship.
Madhavan is a studious, serious kind of a guy who would do just about anything for Koyal, who in turn is madly in love with Raj. Raj, however, is not a believer of love. His sole aim in life is to leave the small town and come to Mumbai to make a career as a Bollywood actor. Of course he doesn’t mind flings with a few dozen girls. How this love triangle moves forward is what the show is all about.
