Sex scenes without kissing? Sounds weird! She came…we saw…she rocked! If Sunny Leone ever wrote an autobiography, can I suggest this as the title? When she made her first proper televised appearance on Indian screens in the reality show Bigg Boss, she promoted herself from being a secret mentioned only in hushed tones to an open topic of discussion.
Suddenly people were not averse talking about the phenomenon called Sunny Leone, and when wives and mothers talked about her, the men in the house faked ignorance about knowing her before! Soon after she became renowned in the season of Bigg Boss, she was offered her first Bollywood film, Jism 2. The reason for her casting was so apt – the film was a huge hit, despite its lackadaisical storytelling, thanks to the sensual lovemaking and kissing scenes, and the general curiosity about Sunny Leone. She later played the main lead in the disaster called Jackpot, opposite Sachiin Joshi and Naseeruddin Shah – a film that tried to piggyback on her name, rather than what she can bring to the table! The makers of Ragini MMS 2 learnt from the disaster of Jackpot and used Sunny Leone judiciously, and made her fans happy in the sex-n-horror sequel!
However, Ragini MMS 2 was also the last film she kissed on screen! Yes, after kissing two men (Karan Mehra and Saahil Prem) and a woman (Sandhya Mridul), Sunny Leone has taken a temporary retirement from smooching her co-stars on screen. She is still game to don a bikini or doing love-making scenes, but many have failed to notice that lip-locking has been avoided by the actress after Ragini MMS 2. Check out her films after her star making turn Ragini MMS 2, where she had played the main lead, and you will realise this…
Despite being half-dressed throughout the movie, and frolicking around in the desert with Rajniesh Duggal, there is hardly any lip-lock in the film. Perhaps their upcoming Beimaan Love might change this ‘error of judgement’!
Kuch Kuch Locha Hai
Despite the selling point of the film and that she was even seen in a bikini, there was no kissing scene in the film. Not that we are complaining…after all, who wants to see her lock lips with Ram Kapoor? Shudder!
A sex comedy that relied only on double entendres, cleavage shots, and Sunny Leone‘s ‘assets’ bursting out of her blouse…and yet no kissing scenes! This is how pavitra sex comedy is made! Alok Nath would be so proud!
One Night Stand
Even with a title like that and with a bedroom scene that had Tanuj Virwani removing off Sunny’s lingerie, the film surprisingly refrains from showing these two kissing. Tanuj has to contend with kissing his other leading lady instead!
