Born on 12 December, 1981, Indian all-rounder Yuvraj Singh turned 33 today. The burly all-rounder has been India‘s go to man in the past, especially in limited overs cricket.

He was a star performer of two successful India world cup campaigns — World T20 2007 and World Cup 2011. One could always count on Yuvraj Singh to provide a few lusty blows to finish an innings a gave the captain a handy option with the ball too. His prowess in limited overs cricket is as spectacular as some of the legends of the game.
Yuvraj burst onto the scene in 2000, and achieved great heights in the 50 over format. As a 20 year old, he delivered on the international stage in a way that experts sat up and took note.

However, he was unable to take his effectiveness into the longest format of the game. He still managed to get 40 Test caps but never really made those opportunities count.
More recently, his form in limited overs cricket has tapered off a little too. But with Yuvraj, he’s always just a good innings (or a good spell) away from regaining his form.

On his birthday, we wish him the very best in his endeavour to wear the India colours again. Happy Birthday, Yuvraj Singh! -cricketcountry
