Do you know people who suffer from acrophobia like your character in Phobia?
Acrophobia is a kind of phobia where you are afraid of stepping out of your comfort zone and yes, I have two friends who suffer from acrophobia.
For this particular role in Phobia, what did you work on?
I did a lot of research. For this role, I didn’t study any particular person. I learned a lot about the disorder, I sat down and discussed the character of Mehek. It’s actually more with the help of the writer and director that I did it.
What’s your phobia?
My fear is weird. It’s the fear of getting into a swimming pool located at a top of a building.
What are you looking in films now?
I have always done something different, whether it was Manjhi, Hunterrr or Badlapur. It just has to be something exciting. That’s all. Kuch filmen banner ke liye karte aur hain kuch directors ke liye. I even enjoyed doing the short film with Sujoy Ghosh. I’ve never limited myself to anything, be it theatre, short films, features, digital and TV. Actors abroad are open to working in all mediums. It’s high time we have that here too. I am doing regional films also.
You are doing a movie with Rajinikanth. Tell us something about it
I am doing Kabali with Rajinikanth sir. I enjoyed a lot working with him. I think it was one of the best experiences of my life, because it was Rajini sir. It was very inspiring, he’s such a wonderful man and there is no one like him.
Let’s move to lighter topic. What’s the craziest thing you have done in love?
I have travelled a lot for love. I can travel to be with somebody or to surprise somebody.
What do you do to keep yourself happy?
I eat chocolates.
